Seamless Gutters & Leaf Guards for Western Washington Homes

A quality roof is only part of the equation—without properly installed gutters and downspouts, rainwater can pool around your foundation, damage siding, and even cause costly interior leaks.

At North Cascade Home Services, we install gutters and downspouts designed to handle the Pacific Northwest’s heavy rainfall, protecting your home year after year.

Why Gutters Matter

Your gutter system plays a crucial role in moving water away from your home. Without it, you risk:

Foundation Damage

Water pooling at the base of your home can lead to cracks and settling.

Roof Rot & Fascia Decay

Overflowing gutters soak wood trim and roof edges.

Siding Stains & Mold

Rainwater running down walls can cause unsightly streaks and mildew.

Landscape Erosion

Uncontrolled water flow can wash away soil and plants.

Our Gutter & Downspout Installation Services

Every home is different—which is why we tailor every gutter and downspout system to your roof’s pitch, size, and water flow needs. Our goal is to provide a system that not only works flawlessly but also complements your home’s appearance.

Seamless Aluminum Gutters

We custom cut each section on-site to perfectly match your home’s dimensions. With no seams along the lengths, leaks are minimized, and the smooth design enhances curb appeal. Aluminum is lightweight, rust-resistant, and can withstand years of Northwest rain without warping.

Custom Downspouts Installations

Downspouts are more than an afterthought—they’re essential for moving water safely away from your foundation. We size and place them strategically to handle the specific water volume from your roof, preventing pooling and erosion.

Gutter Guard Installation

Leaves, pine needles, and other debris can clog your gutters, leading to overflow and water damage. Our premium gutter guards act as a barrier, letting water in while keeping debris out—reducing maintenance and extending the life of your gutter system.

Frequently Asked Questions

We know hiring a roofing company is a big decision. Here are answers to some of the most common questions we get from homeowners like you.

What size gutters do I need for my home?

It depends on your roof’s surface area, pitch, the number of roof valleys, and how hard rain hits your home. Many single-family homes do well with 5" K-style gutters; larger or taller homes, long runs, steep/metal roofs, and heavy valley flow often benefit from 6" systems and larger 3"×4" downspouts. We’ll size your gutters on-site so they move water efficiently without overflowing.

5" vs 6"—which is right for PNW storms?

6" gutters handle significantly more water and allow larger outlets/downspouts that resist clogging—helpful during intense fall and winter rains. If you’ve had overflow at corners/valleys, have long straight runs, or lots of roof area feeding one section, 6" is usually the safer pick. For smaller roof sections or shorter runs, 5" can be perfectly sufficient.

Are leaf guards worth it with fir needles?

Often, yes—if you choose the right style. Fine micro-mesh guards perform best with fir/cedar needles and heavy rain. No guard is 100% maintenance-free, but a good system can cut cleanings dramatically and keep downspouts clear. We’ll recommend a high-flow micro-mesh with a rigid frame where trees are close to the roofline.

How often should gutters be cleaned in Western WA?

Plan on at least twice a year—late fall and late spring. If your home sits under evergreens or you see frequent overflow, quarterly checks (or after big windstorms) are smart. With quality guards installed, an annual inspection and quick rinse is usually enough.

Can you add new gutters to an existing roof?

Yes. Gutters are mounted to the fascia and can be replaced independently of your roof. We’ll check fascia condition, drip-edge clearance, and downspout routing so the new system integrates cleanly with your existing roofing and trim.

Do you offer repairs or slope corrections?

Absolutely. We reseal leaking seams/miters/outlets, replace damaged sections, add outlets, upgrade to larger downspouts, and re-hang runs to the correct pitch (about 1/16"–1/8" per foot). If the fascia needs attention, we’ll flag that before we rehang.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are completed in a single day. Larger homes or complex layouts can take 1–2 days. We schedule around weather, protect landscaping, and leave the site clean before we go.

What warranties do you provide?

You’ll receive a written workmanship warranty from our team plus manufacturer warranties on the gutter material/finish and any guards we install. Coverage details vary by product—your proposal will spell out the exact terms and length.
